"David Pittman" is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Crows in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Originally from South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club Norwood Football Club/Norwood, Pittman was drafted by Adelaide in the 1989 VFL Draft and made his AFL debut with Adelaide in 1992 AFL season/1992, playing as a Ruckman (Australian rules football position)/ruckman.

Pittman is sometimes remembered for an incident early in the 1997 AFL season where Adelaide coach Malcolm Blight labelled his effort "pathetic" after a game at Waverley Park in Melbourne. The 1997 season turned out to be one of Pittman's most successful as he moved between centre half-back and the ruck playing an important part in the Crows' 1998 AFL Grand Final/premiership side that year.

Pittman also played in the 1998 AFL Grand Final, winning his second premierhip. At the end of 1999 AFL season/1999, Pittman retired having played 131 games for 34 goals and 5 games for South Australia.

That's why I think this study is somewhat surprising.

They were respecting the pass a little too much, and if I see a lane, I'm going to take off.

We had a loss in our family, our football family, ... So we came out here and we played strictly for him.

Divide and conquer; that's what I call it.

It's their back. Maybe this study does point out the fact that we have to find a better way of imparting this to individuals so that they will personally take accountability for it.

It's the second straight time we beat them on their grounds. I'm happy right now.
