My impressions are that the board has decided that they can do what they want to without input from the membership, that they feel like they're under no supervision otherwise (and) that they're free to do whatever they want to.

We are already more than half way toward reaching this goal.

Ben was a good sport although the raft was very Heath Robinson, made in no time out of next to nothing and went nowhere. Hopefully he will have more success when he tries to row across the Atlantic with Olympic champion James Cracknell in November.

We're very hopeful. We're concerned those doors won't be open for those kids.

Employees, medical staff, volunteers and visitors who use tobacco are not required to quit, but only refrain from using tobacco products while on the hospital campus. However, if people do want to quit we will have support programs in place to help them.

They would like the community to believe that our current proposal would be fiscally irresponsible, when, in fact, our offer would still keep teachers in the 'middle of the pack' and would not tax the budget.

I feel a great deal of confidence in my students' abilities to protect themselves. Even if they've taken just one class.

That's a solid vote. We're happy about that.

The proposal the union offered is fair.
