He's coming here to do us proud as a bowler - everything else is an added attraction. But with his experience and the qualities he's got, we've clearly got ourselves a good package.

Michael still has some way to go before returning to action but is getting stronger and stronger by the day. Progress is being made, albeit gradual progress, and neither ourselves nor England are putting him under pressure.

He's being very mature and realistic about it, and I think he has to be. Surely the goal is getting him back fit for the Ashes, and he's in good hands and working hard to get there.

It would be tremendous to have Matthew for our opening matches but it all depends upon what England say.

This is an opportunity for Richard and Kevin to develop themselves still further in slightly different fields.

There is certainly no pressure from us, and I don't think there is any from England for him to be playing.
