AP has been fighting for this information since the fall of 2004. We're grateful to have a decision at last that keeping prisoner identities secret is against the public policy and the law of this country.

We've had some good discussion with LPGA. As a result of those discussions, it looks to us now that their intention was to provide appropriate access and full editorial use by the AP of information and photos obtained at their events.

We're still discussing that with LPGA. In the meantime, they've said that the provision is optional for the Fields, and we've opted out.
