When you are getting pounded in the turf, I think you will throw it high. That is my department and we will get it fixed.

It's disappointing. I think every guy's pride is hurt a little bit, especially the guys that have been around here for a while because we're not really used to getting pushed around, and we kind of did.

The safety was big because that turns it into a two possession game. Grand Rapids pushed some buttons early on and got us fired up with some of their quotes and some things they do off the field and it may come back to haunt them.

We were like a wounded animal up there. They had us backed in a corner, and sometimes that's dangerous. The guys took it on, and we've got great veteran leadership. You let those guys take over.

At times, we got down on the goal line and they were running the ball in. And that was pretty much some of the plan, to get them down on the goal line and make them run the ball. Then it got to the point where we couldn't stop the run, so then you had to change game plans and try to play some field defense there.

He was one of our free agent guys we targeted. It was just more of us getting used to him and him getting used to us. It's a different system. We've only been together three weeks. Obviously, he's catching on and we're catching on.

I don't think it's changed our preparation or anything like that. Obviously, you want your leader around, but we've got to go and our guys understand that, and I'm sure they'll be up for the challenge.

We need Coach back, he's our leader. There's definitely a difference when he's on the field. You can't fill those shoes. Five championships, 100-some wins. I hope I can be in that many games.

You can't put a goose egg up. That is what happened, we were put in a hole, down 22 and we made some adjustments and got back into the game.
