I was expecting them to work hard, but we had a goal of getting to districts. We just wanted to get better with each game, and we matured tremendously.

Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. When you play good defense, the offense takes care of itself. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.

We knew Kyle coming up was an athlete. He's been a solid player for us this year, and we were expecting that out of him, since he was playing through the summer.
