I just controlled both sides of the plate, changed speeds here and there, and expanded the zone when I needed to. Mostly, I just had better command tonight.

Obviously, it wasn't a very good pitch.

I don't think it's anything particularly special.

I don't have anything they don't know about. Mostly it's pounding the strike zone, keeping the ball down and trying to stay out of patterns.

We did a great job of using all 27 of our outs to score runs today, ... Sometimes you score early and sometimes late, but either way we had enough today.

The key for me to actually getting a win was getting out of that eighth inning. We did a good job of using all 27 of our outs this game.

The eighth inning is what really earned me the win.

I put myself in position to win. It doesn't always work out for you. The biggest thing to do is keep making my pitches to stay in there. I knew going in it would be tough to score against Kazmir.

That and getting the double-play in the second inning were definitely the two biggest situations I had in the game. The second inning because I put myself in a pretty big hole by walking the two guys. But the eighth inning was what earned me the win.
