It was kind of a smooth ride throughout the season. We won most of the games we were supposed to — we got to host the area tournament, and that was great for these guys.

They're an excellent team. We didn't play very well tonight, but Hatch had a lot to do with that ... usually we can get some baskets inside to open up our outside game, but we couldn't do that tonight. That was the big key.

He's always been able to shoot, been a great shooter, a good ball-handler and just an all-around player. He's definitely gotten better with time. ... He's just matured as a player.

For at least the last couple of years, he's drawn our opponents' best defender. But until you've played him, you really don't have the respect that you need. ... They just couldn't guard him. Josh was 50 percent from the floor this season.

We were putting up way too many (3-pointers). We were settling for shots we didn't need to be taking instead of working for shots closer to the basket. A lot of that came out of frustration.

When you get an early lead, in the kid's minds, you think you've got to catch up in a hurry.

This is a special group of guys. After a big win or a big loss, all season they came back in the gym with an even keel, ready to work hard.

We've got plenty of guys who can score.
