We were hanging with them punch for punch the entire game. We felt that we could actually compete with them, and we did for 2½ quarters.
We threw everything at them, but they're a dominant team and they can come right out of the ashes just like they have in the past.
Randy adds some experience for us, so that helps. He has seen more since being injured where he knows a lot more of what he can do and can't get away with. He will definitely strengthen us at that position.
I thought they were going to challenge (the secondary) and throw the ball downfield. We were surprised when they kept going at us with the run.
You have to pick up the flag and have another guy behind him and step up and be ready to come out here and make some plays.
They're a better team than they were two years ago, but we're not the same team, either.
In the second half, I don't know if some people got lackadaisical, but (NAU) made some adjustments.
In the past, I don't think it would have affected us that way. We expected to win. We weren't going in there just expecting to compete. I think that really showed how the mentality has changed here.
It's not an upset. We knew we were going to do this all along. You can ask anyone in this locker room.
