Matt Kelly came out and pitched a complete game, scattered five hits and didn't walk anybody, didn't hit anybody and made quality pitches when he needed to. Bottom line that's the key to the game today.

For whatever reason, our guys kind of lost their aggressiveness at the plate. That's something that we're starting to get back in certain hitters. We don't have everybody there yet but we've got more than what we had a week ago.

In the second game it seemed like both teams were a little lethargic. They had kind of a slow pitcher on the mound.

Anytime you can get your best hitter back in the game it's going to be good for you.

I think the thing that we really have to improve is staying away from the big inning. In most all of our losses we've given up anywhere from four to eight runs in one inning and that really puts ourselves in a hole.

All those things that we talked about a month ago; pitching, defense and offense. We didn't have them all put together a month ago... right now we've kind of put our entire game together.
