We needed this win after a disappointing loss at Eureka on Tuesday. We executed very well and we hit the ball well even though the weather was cold and windy. There are definitely some things to work on, but this team is young and you can see them learning more and more each time out.
We hit the ball very well tonight as a team and we did most of our damage with two outs. This is about as complete a game as we've played in a while with exception of a few errors.
This was a great game for us. We've been really banged up with some injuries and illnesses. The girls forgot all about that and just came out and played hard.
She is one of the strongest girls I've ever met and when she connects on a ball, it has a tendency to go a long way. She fractured a finger a couple of weeks ago and has been hampered by that, so it was nice to see her come back and drive the ball like she can.
It was a perfect Senior Night. All the seniors played well and contributed. They are a special group, I'm really going to miss them.
Paige was in one of those zones where she had everything working. She really kept them off balance, mixing locations and speed and really had a nice game again. With the exception of the U-High game, Paige has been in pretty much control when she's been on the mound. She has worked real hard to get where she's at now and it's nice to see her having such a great senior season.
