Dan Snyder
FameRank: 6

"Daniel Joseph Snyder" was a professional Canada/Canadian ice hockey player. He played as a centre (ice hockey)/centre in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Atlanta Thrashers. Following a single-vehicle accident in which he was a passenger, Snyder was injured and fell into a coma as a result. He died six days later of septic shock.

Despite having played in only forty-nine NHL games, the Thrashers named an annual award after him. The Dan Snyder Memorial Award is given each year to the player who "best embodies perseverance, dedication, and hard work without reward or recognition, so that his team and teammates might succeed." After the Thrashers relocated to Winnipeg the Winnipeg Jets/Jets continued to present the award. The American Hockey League's (AHL) Chicago Wolves also have a yearly award given in his honor, the Dan Snyder Man of the Year Award, and have honored him by hanging a banner with other retired numbers and honored personnel. Likewise the Ontario Hockey League renamed their Humanitarian of the Year trophy in his honor as the Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy.

That was a tough day. We had ups and downs, but we worked it out.

It's been a long, long process. Halfway through today I didn't think it was going to get done. I think Paul did a heck of a job of corralling people who could have gone in a lot of difference directions and built some consensus.

Some teams are contributing a little more than others. This is really a win-win.

The sensor is programmed so that when a vibration of a certain frequency increases, it can respond. For example, it could shut down to protect the system, or turn on a light that warns the user that the motor should be inspected or replaced within a certain interval of time. This would enable the efficient replacement of a motor instead of waiting for it to blow.
