Shortly after I came on, the district acquired the golf dome, which was a failing business. That has been a great boon for the community.

When I started, there were just a few miles of trail; now we have over 60 and are always planning on adding more.

The park district also needs to be in a position to acquire land for new parks and schools. This is going to be of critical importance in the years to come. We're looking at tremendous growth over the next decade, and we have to stay ahead of that growth rather than trying to play catch-up.

I'd certainly run again. I love serving on the Bismarck park board. I think the district provides one of the finest programs and some of the finest recreation facilities in the country.
