I don't know what it is that makes him so hard to identify with.

We got the opportunity to work with Bryan Singer and they wanted to create a bridge between the original movie and this new one.

Bringing Batman and Spawn together was a win-win for everyone. The chance to work with Todd and his team on creating this crossover is exciting for us and I'm looking forward to seeing the final product, as I'm sure many fans are.

Dan was such an important part of DC's successes in the 1990s. We're extremely happy to have him back with us, where he'll bring that same talent and enthusiasm to his new projects and the new direction of the DC Universe.

I don't see any need to change that at this time.

There was a quaintness to his 1960s (cartoon) that some people felt was open to interpretation. He has always been one of the more powerful characters in the DC Universe, but he has not always been portrayed in that fashion.
