Cris Carter
FameRank: 8

"Graduel Christopher Darin "Cris" Carter" is a former American football and Hall of Fame player in the National Football League. He played wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles (1987–89), the Minnesota Vikings (1990–2001) and the Miami Dolphins (2002).

After starting for the Ohio State University Ohio State Buckeyes football/Buckeyes, Carter was NFL Draft/drafted by the Eagles in the 4th round of the NFL Draft#Supplemental draft/1987 NFL supplemental draft. While in Philadelphia, head coach Buddy Ryan helped to coin one of ESPN's Chris Berman's famous quotes about Carter: "All he does is catch touchdown passes." He was let go by Ryan in 1989, however, due to off-the-field issues. Carter was signed by the Vikings and turned his life and career around, becoming a two-time First-team, one-time Second-team All-Pro and playing in 8 straight Pro Bowls. When he left the Vikings after 2001, he held most of the team career receiving records. He briefly played for the Dolphins in 2002 before retiring.

Everyone understands. Everyone knows what this game means. You just like having this opportunity, anytime you can get it.

He is a dirty player.

He threw a couple of high-school balls on Sunday, ... You don't expect an NFL quarterback to throw passes like that. If the Dolphins' defense had better coverage, they could've broken the game open.

Let me tell you, Pennington doesn't move as well as Montana did, and Montana's arm was a lot stronger than his.

That allows you to do so many things on offense, ... not only in the passing game, but also in the running game.

Do I think he's an NFL-caliber quarterback? Yes.

What percentage of the playbook will he have access to? ... When you have a quarterback who throws like that, there's no way Mike Heimerdinger is making him make the same throws he made Steve McNair throw in Tennessee.

Now there are certain aspects of football that we all know. They are not your typical, average 9-to-5 jobs, but why do we have to get to the point that we have to accept stuff like this? This behavior is not acceptable. Romanowski is a bad guy. He is a jerk every day of the week, and I hated playing against him.

It's the way that Randy dictates what defenses can and can't do that puts him over the top, ... I've played with him. I know.
