"Craig Barry Shipley" is an Australian-born executive and former player in Major League Baseball. On 16 November 2012, he was appointed special assistant to Arizona Diamondbacks general manager (baseball)/general manager Kevin Towers.

As a player, he was an infielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1986–87), New York Mets (1989), San Diego Padres (1991–94 and 1996–97), Houston Astros (1995) and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim/Anaheim Angels (1998). He played collegiately at the University of Alabama. Shipley batted and threw right-handed; he stood tall, and weighed (12 stone 7).

He helped the Padres win the National League Western Division championship, appearing in 33 games played — 21 after 31 July — and batting average/batting .315 with 29 hit (baseball)/hits, five double (baseball)/doubles, one home run, seven runs batted in and seven stolen bases. In the field, he started at four different defensive positions: second baseman/second base, third baseman/third base, shortstop and right field. However, he did not appear in the postseason.

That's a good question. I don't know.

To trade David, we'd have to get a deal that's good for the Red Sox.

We're talking about a premier hitter in the prime of his career. That's a lot of offense to replace. It's not easy.

I'm sure there's a lot of teams the would like to have Roger pitching for them next year.
