Culpepper is leaving some big shoes to fill, but we have a lot of talent here in northeastern North Carolina. White and Spears are both extremely qualified.

Other issues include affordable housing. The board has addressed many quality-of-life issues but there are no easy solutions. What drives the economy is tourism. Service folks have to be able to afford to live here.
