It was a great run. My team was behind me the entire season, and they put it all on the line every night. We just kept going and look how far we came. That is something I will always remember about my final season.
I am honored to have my story recognized with Jerome Bettis. This is a trend-setting year, and I am happy to be part of it. When I leave here, I will leave knowing in my heart that I made a difference.
We looked at using existing messages because that would be a cheaper solution and easier to implement. But because we were looking to define this common standard not just for current weapons capabilities, but also for projected weapon capabilities and for future sensors, that drove us to new message implementations.
We have people nationally and internationally who want to buy this turbine now.
We'll never be the same again. But the school will move forward. It is a watershed Thursday but I don't think it will be our last hurdle.
We believe that like Union Station in Washington, D.C., this will become a very significant tourist attraction. We'll have reasons for people to be there day and evening for 365 days of the year.

We're pleased with the progress we've made. We've done some good work. The standards were implemented and demonstrated by multiple joint service parties, so we don't have a unique solution that only vendor 'A' will be able to use.
