We will not have any penalties. We knew that we would have three programs that were close and that we are in really good shape with some of our other programs. Overall, we are headed in the right direction.
We have talked about what he wanted and the future of Wolf Pack football. If we can come to some agreements (today), and I have all the confidence in the world that we will, we will talk about what's going to happen with the remainder of his contract and the years to come.
This is a credit to the job that our management team, coaches and staff have done. I am not one to ask people what they think of the job we are doing, but the regents were very nice and generous in their comments today.
It is important that we are all on the same page and the same time frame. I am a lot more comfortable talking to coaches about staying and making commitments when I know that I am going to be working with them. It provides security for the whole department.
I think this is a really simple, straight-forward contract that both Coach and I are happy with.
That was separate before and I believe it to be part of the job.
Instead of just penalizing schools, you should reward the ones that exceed expectations.
It is really nice to see that we won't have any penalties. All of our coaches understand the importance of this. It is part of their job description now to meet these academic progress numbers.
