We really had to battle for it, and the girls made tremendous improvement throughout the season. They have played so well in the second half of league, and that was our goal.

At halftime, we talked about battling back and playing hard. And I thought we battled hard, and played better defense. It's just disappointing that we couldn't put two halves like that together.

We wanted to come out and put some pressure on them, (and) make them handle the ball. Our game plan was to use our defense and run on them, and I think we did that fairly well.

In the first quarter, we had a few first CIF jitters. We didn't move the ball very well and took some quick shots.

Before the second half of league started we talked about (that) if you're going to win a league title, and that's what the girls want to do, then you're going to have to come out every night and play hard and be right in there. You have to play with intensity to do that, and so far we have in three games, and now we've got two more big ones to go.

(Cleary's) really been stepping up her play lately. She's been taking better shots lately, and that's led to her knocking down a lot more.

I think we're peaking at the right time, and we adjusted decently tonight. One of our goals was to win a couple games in the playoffs. The kids worked really hard, and different girls have been stepping us for us in each game.

I don't know where we were defensively. I don't think we've given up 75 points to anyone all year. I think the girls were a little bit nervous and shell-shocked. They were prepared to defend everything we saw tonight, but I was disappointed with our defensive intensity and our offensive execution.

I think that my team this year has a lot of team chemistry, and they play well together. And we have a lot of players who feel more comfortable shooting the ball.
