This whole team is stepping it up this year. We still make mistakes that we shouldn't, but we're getting better.
The girls came out and played hard.
Jefferson is our senior post, and she really stepped up as a leader and a captain for us.
It was so intense, it was unbelievable.
They wanted to win and it showed. To get this first win is huge.
The people that don't know her just need to come watch a game and they'll see what she's capable of. She makes a name for herself with what she does on the floor.
She practices hard. She runs hard, plays hard, she has the drive for the game.
Each of them stepped up and did what they needed to do. They played up to the team they should be.
We just came out flat, and our nerves got the best of us.
