One thing we have learned very quickly in this tournament is anything can happen.

Tom was very helpful to me. I'm going to remember him in his good days, like 1993 when he was the toast of the country, helping fans enjoy the time of their lives.

In a three- or four-game series, I'll take my team against anybody. One game, in a playoff atmosphere, with six or seven pitchers going, you never know what's going to happen.

We don't want to even think about that. We haven't even got into that far yet.

You know what, he threw pretty well (Sunday). He just didn't get the ball where he wanted. He made some bad pitch selections.

That's the perils of pool play.

I don't know that there is such a thing as an embarrassment. There are quite a few teams that can beat anybody in this tournament.

You come in with a lot of anxiety about whether or not you remember (how to manage), but it is like riding a bike. I think it's something that comes back to you very quickly.

He showed a lot of composure for a guy that hasn't pitched above 'A' ball.
