I guess all things have to end, and they ended (the scoreless stretch) with authority.

I can tell you now that U.S. forces, in all probability, will be engaged somewhere in the world in the next decade where they're not currently engaged. But I can't tell you with any resolution at all of where that might be, when that might be or how that might be, and that's indicative of the uncertainty that we face.

I couldn't tell you why I had success on the road. I try to do the same thing I do every time out no matter where I am at. I just need to give my defense the chance to make plays behind me and if they do that we will be alright. Pitching and defense are the keys because I know our offense can find a way to scrap out a few runs.

When I threw it, I thought I walked in a run. I didn't think there was a chance he'd swing at it, but he was sitting there waiting on it, I guess. It was a good piece of hitting and a bad piece of pitching.

That's where you'll see those changes start to take place.

I had all my pitches and was locating the ball real well. The pitches they got RBIs on were right where I wanted to throw it.

I was able to get into a little bit of a rhythm there. The biggest thing was getting ahead. Once I got ahead I could start to mix in off-speed stuff, keep them guessing and off-balance. In the first inning I'd be 2-0 and everybody in the park knew I was going to throw a fastball. Once I settled down it made things a lot easier.

We don't know how we're going to use the force. So we have to have a capability set that will withstand all reasonable futures.

I didn't change anything - I went out there with the same mentality (that inning).

It was a 3-2 fastball up in the zone. He did a good job on (it).

We think China should have a military capability sufficient to meet its genuine security needs.

They can do much more than a standard brigade can.

It's not about numbers. Being able to generate operational effects on the battle space - that's what it's about.

It was fun. . . . BC did a good job of putting the ball in play. The defense was very good behind me.

We want to be able to reach out faster, reach out deeper and reach out with more impact.

Things get very fuzzy past the five-year point.

It will be fun to see Auburn again. We knocked them out of the tournament last season so we are going into their park with a bull's eye on our chest. They want to get us back. It will be a big challenge for us but that will be fun.

We think China is a growing regional power and we want to partner with them to manage their gradual rise.
