"Brendan Gaughan" is an United States/American racing driver. Gaughan is the grandson of Las Vegas Valley/Vegas gaming pioneer Jackie Gaughan and son of Michael Gaughan (businessman)/Michael Gaughan, a hotel and casino magnate.

Gaughan began his career racing in off-road racing and he rose up through the ranks from pickup trucks to the professional two-wheel-drive Trophy Truck class. In the late 1990s, he switched to pavement racing in a stock car racing/stock car. This lead to a career in NASCAR racing. He began in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (now Camping World Truck Series); later to the Busch Series (now Xfinity Series) and Sprint Cup Series during the 2000s.

Gaughan currently drives the No. 62 South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa/South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro in the Nationwide Series full-time for Richard Childress Racing. He also drives the No. 62 Shore Lodge Chevrolet for Premium Motorsports in most Sprint Cup Series races.

There is actually a lot the driver can do. I like it now. There is a lot more to be learned than people realize.

We've gone through a transition (changing crew chiefs) ... so it has been successful when you take all the factors we had to put in of rebuilding this organization.

We're scraping together some good finishes here.

I'm surprised I haven't won a race -- absolutely.

We've got a smart team, our pit stops have been rockin', we've got all the things that we need to do, we just need to qualify better so I'm not playing catch-up.

We got Steve a win this year so the Orleans team has won.

We feel that we're still going to win but it has taken a lot to get us there. I'm actually pretty happy it was this hard; if it would have come easy, it would have felt maybe a little less satisfying. When this win does come -- and it will come -- it'll make everything feel and taste so much better.

There's only one strategy for us - win, ... I wouldn't call it a free-for-all, but it's going to be one heck of a battle.

We don't need to talk about what Vegas means to our family.
