Ken Blackwell's mean-spirited, negative campaign is eating away at his support.

Ohio's newspapers and Republican Party leaders have spoken out against Ken Blackwell's negative attacks. We wanted to share their words with Ohio voters.

We're happy that the margin is just outside the margin of error and we expect this to be a spirited campaign over the next 27 days.

We're in a very good position - in fundraising, in the polls. There's no reason for us to get out. We're going to win this.

Ken Blackwell refuses to debate, once again demonstrating his reliance on negative attacks and empty rhetoric.

Blackwell's campaign makes a lot of silly statements but these comments are ridiculous.

His offer doesn't change the facts: Ken Blackwell still says one thing and does another.

We call upon the state party to retract that poll and to apologize to the leadership of the Republican Party and to Jim Petro for what was attempted this past Saturday. At best, their poll was an exercise in sloppy research; at worst, it was a deliberate effort to mislead the State Central Committee.

All of this is based upon the Summit County lie. This is all rumor and innuendo from a political crony of Ohio's last political boss.
