I couldn't believe it. One minute I am reading this in the Tribune and the next minute I get a phone call from Eureka saying the first one is here.

The interesting thing is we have fledged 173,000-plus bluebirds in the last 10 years. It took a long time to get this going, but it seems now that there are more and more in more and more places.

Somebody is going to see (a bluebird) some place and somebody will see one a few days later somewhere else and then a week after that happens we get phone calls from all over the place. Usually that happens about the first week of March.
