Everyone knows these hugs are political. We Democrats know that when Schwarzenegger acts like a moderate for a while, it's only an act. We remember what his agenda was just last fall.

Now, for the umpteenth time, Arnold is undone by his attempts at hiding the truth from the public. How many more secrets does the governor have?

When people tire of a politician, it's very difficult to get back. This will make for four flat tires on his Hummer come Nov. 8. So far, the other three propositions have been more damaged by his involvement -- and now Prop. 75 will be even more damaged.

I think this team is as good as Dick Cheney's shooting skills. This is a recycled Bush-Cheney political team that represents the policies that the vast majority of Californians are opposed to, whether it's Supreme Court nominees, whether it's the environment, whether it's education. I think it's foolish of Schwarzenegger to have brought in Bush-Cheney's campaign team.

Schwarzenegger's budget is smoke and mirrors; we need a governor who will be more serious and frank and honest with the voters.

The legislature shouldn't cut money for education. There are over 6 million kids in the K-12 system and anybody in California knows they are the future for this economy.

Schwarzenegger hasn't missed attending his fundraisers, but he's missed a meeting with the most important president (who borders) California - and that's Fox.
