The two previous Republican contesters got the same percentage of votes. I thought that I might do at least 20 percent or better. But it seems that there is a consistent base that is content with Sam Johnson.

We felt it was the best thing for the kids of our valley. It was a tough task.

The level of assistance was amazing. People really got involved. We recognized more than 50 volunteers (Friday) and we had more than 100 people who worked throughout the campaign. Tupelo people get involved and they give.

This is a win-win situation for our kids. They'll experience playing in a great facility and get to see a beautiful city like Seattle. We'll also get to play a solid program and gauge where we're at as a team. Win or lose, it'll be a great trip.

Our philosophy is to make history come alive. The use of a vaudeville show allows students to connect with local history through the hook of entertainment.

We finally got it all together.

This makes it a more vibrant neighborhood. It will make the neighborhood busier, but that's not a bad thing.

We disclose our funding, Common Cause does not. So it's rather ironic that we would be attacked on that basis. But at the end of the day, just because Common Cause doesn't agree with the way we seek grant funding, that doesn't make advocacy illegitimate. Nor does it make theirs legitimate, their attack legitimate.
