Grooves get cut into the ice so it has to be flooded each week. You put it on in layers so it freezes up by the following week. Surprisingly, with the weather we have been having, our track is in really good shape right now.

It's not just a regular snowmobile or go-kart. It's primarily what you would see used at the Eagle River Derby track. A lot of young drivers start here, people that become professionals down the road.

We've got snowmobile races and go-kart classes for all the kids. We have a class for just about everyone who comes out, from those just starting out to those more experienced racers.

Everyone is a volunteer. All of the flagmen, corner people, people that cook the hamburgers, tend bar and stock the coolers.

Some of the money we raise will go toward updating our kitchen at the community center. We would also like to get new fencing sometime and possibly race there in the summer time. Right now we are just looking into that.

We have raced all over, and there's nothing worse for spectators than standing around waiting for the races. We keep them going.
