We expected a difficult match because the Belgians had the support of the public.

That was Pat's strategy. That way we will have him stay home the rest of the match.

We almost completed the anti-slam. That would have been a feat. So win or lose, it was gonna be amazing.

We also knew that Olivier Rochus had won the doubles at the French Open . But it was logical that we won and had the match been played in the United States, it would not have taken close to three hours but an hour and a half without doubt.

Two could've been out, but you gotta play them in that situation.

It was a bad first game, I got off to a bad start. We were behind the eight-ball all set, it was uphill all the way. We kinda let the set go.

That was our strategy. [We said] 'Let's go up the line early in the match.' We wanted to do that so that we could have them stay at home the rest of the match...Also, guys who don't play a lot together tend to break down at the net.
