Note to the New York State Republican Party: Don't despair - you may not have to settle for John Spencer just yet. There are still about a dozen registered Republicans left in New York who you haven't asked yet.
Mr. Reynolds' false bravado isn't fooling anyone. He is whistling past the political graveyard. It's sad and unfortunate that Republicans continue to be in denial while voters throughout the state express their clamor for change.
In all fairness, when Ms. McFarland said she wrote Star Wars, perhaps she meant the George Lucas film.
The only clarion call that George Pataki is hearing these days is the one convincing him he can run for president.
Memo to Governor Pataki: You can come back home. Now that the elections are over, endangered Republican candidates throughout the state no longer need to avoid being seen with you.
It's not surprising that Republicans endorse Republicans.
