The effort was there. The attention to detail was there all week. . . . We were never able to get into a rhythm.

We have a lot of respect for the competition in the CCL. We know the X on our back is bolder for the second time through. This is an important goal for us to achieve and we're taking it very seriously.

One of our goals was to try and frustrate them (on the perimeter) and I thought we had some success.

That was a good example of us turning the ball over when we normally don't, then they made the shot. But I don't think it was as much of a momentum swing as it could have been. We had the half to regroup. If the game continues, I think it might have had a bigger impact.

It's a play we've run all season, a zone quick-hitting play. It blew open fairly well, but we mishandled for just a split second and that took us out of the play we wanted.

We always felt that if we could get this point, we would have a good chance to get to (the state tournament).

They did a nice job of keeping us off the boards in the first half. That kept us from running the ball as much as we would've liked. That was a pretty good defensive game.

I was impressed with the way he finished, even under good pressure. I don't feel like we gave him anything easy. He just made some really big plays.
