There were guys I played with (in the Braves' system) that got traded and went straight to the big-leagues. Everything happens for a reason. I don't know, man. It's a crazy game. I just know something is going to catch on.

I pitched well and had a ton of saves, but at the end of the (2001) season, they signed a bunch of older guys. With the team going into the playoffs, that's the guys they wanted to go with.

They signed so many guys that they released a good bit of people.

Those games build character. When you have games like this, coming back against their closer, it gives the team a little more pep. We know we're never out of it. Our bats are not going to give up.

This is the best place to be to try to get to the big-leagues.

Pitching for Sacramento last year I threw a pitch and, on the follow-through, I hit my elbow and lost feeling. I threw two more pitches, but I didn't know where the ball was going.

I'd rather have a 10-0 game because it takes the pressure off. But these (close low-scoring) games help me concentrate more. If you give up another run, you are in trouble.
