We wanted to keep the speed and stability of a longer ski but make it a lot more maneuverable. It's just all about the surface area. All of our skis are shorter than most, but they have the same surface area -- and that's what determines the speed and stability, the actual amount of ski on the snow.

If you are exposed to it with TV, music, pop culture, it becomes more acceptable. It's just part of the everyday lives. . . . With the older generation it's more foreign to them.
