The fashion industry has been going crazy. People just aren't shopping as much - period. They're not shopping on weekends, not hanging out in malls. People are just very busy. They don't have the time to pursue shopping as a hobby. People are being cautious with their money as well. They're just not spending as we had probably in the late 80s.
It's just a natural fit for consumers to be buying these types of toys for their children, both boys and girls. This holiday season is going to be a tough one, but I think there are certain types of things that are going to be popular, such as hero action figures.
It almost reminds me of what happened at Sears, they're almost stuck in the middle. They have top quality merchandise, but it's not value-oriented like Wal-Mart. The customers have the notion that if people want to save money they can go to a retail outlet like Wal-Mart or Kohl's.
