I don't think that he's a racist. I don't think he's anti-Latino, ... I just think some of his comments have been ill-founded and incendiary to the Latino community. And I guess now he's realizing that, given the poll numbers.

As chairman, I don't think it's my place to tell an incumbent member of Congress what to do. He's smart enough. He knows what the figures are, he knows what the polls are looking like, he knows his district. He's got to come to his own conclusions.
