FameRank: 4

"Anne Donovan" is an American retired basketball player who now coaches women's basketball. She is currently the head coach of the Connecticut Sun.

In her playing career, Donovan won a national championship with Old Dominion University, won two Olympic gold medals, and went to three Final Fours overall. She was enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995.

As a professional basketball coach, she guided the Seattle Storm to their first title in 2004, becoming the first female coach of a WNBA Championship team (as well as the youngest person to coach a WNBA champion, at age 42). She is the only person to have both played for a national women's college title and coached a team to a professional title.

I think internally we're all feeling really good about it. To know that we accomplished the same record as last year with the experience we had, it says a whole lot about those 11 players.

It feels good (clinching a playoff spot). But there are still two more home games left and we would like to have homecourt advantage with that second seed (in the Western Conference).

She's an injured player who's trying to come back. Our goal is to build her up for games. [And] I don't think we're going to see her play 36 minutes a game.

We're relying on our practice guys, who have competed, to coming in morning and night.

The reality now for Lauren is that she's never going to be healthy from her knee to her ankle. It's very difficult when your star player's going to be on the side of the court on (an exercise) bike. But we've got to make adjustments.

Simone is coming along, but we know what she can do. We've got to get our final roster set before we worry about June.

Awesome. She's been working hard on the sideline, obviously, because her conditioning was good, too.

Saturday's game is important for several reasons. It is the last regular-season game, and it not only has implications for us but it impacts other teams.

She's so good at dealing with pain. This is somebody you don't have to say 'suck it up' to.
