We'll have early voting, of course, before that, beginning on the 12th of April through the 27th, to give people a chance to vote at their leisure.

As with any elected position, sometimes there's opposition and sometimes there isn't. When there's opposition, more is learned about that office. More is brought out.

The majority of our petitions were already filed before today, so it was really quite quiet. We had some company, but basically they were incumbents who had no opposition, holding their breath for the deadline. That was all the company we had.

There will be 35 polling places on the day of the election. And early voting starts 20 days prior.

No campaign materials are allowed inside the polling place. Either on the person or signs.

We will have 35 precincts open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m..

In order to qualify, you have to pick up a petition.

There are more (candidates) than there were at least eight years ago. One reason being, the judges are on the ballot. But, just in an eight-year period, a lot more people have come into the county.

It is hard to find places that are accessible for persons with disabilities. The place must be compliant with the Help America Vote Act of 2002.
