There's a huge disparity between what you see on-screen and off camera, ... There's a lot of tragedy and pain. Their ability to hide it is just awesome.

I think the secret is, no matter how good you are Saturday night, on Monday morning you start with a blank page.

I told them it's only one stroke a guy. Think of it that way. If you're lucky enough to be paired with a guy from New Trier, then see if you can beat him. Other than that, know every stroke counts.

We look at it as a good opportunity. A lot of people say, 'You guys only win because you're Class A.' We think we should be able to maybe prove them wrong and win a AA state title. Then they can't really say anything against us.

We felt good coming into the season. We all felt like we'd have a good team. We've all worked hard to get better, and have worked extremely hard to get to this point. We all want our work to pay off and do well at state.

It's quite a long list of people. If I hadn't gone here, I would have been the black sheep. But I always wanted to go here.

On 18 I told myself it's my senior year and my last state tournament. There's no way I'm going out without birdie.

It's amazing how it can still find people to fill the shoes, ... There's always one sketch that makes me glad I tuned in. ... The show has proven something.

We are going to have our own little home quite shortly and we are going to be looking after children.

As Dana Carvey said, ... you can do the greatest sketch [one week], but there's no guarantee you'll be on [the next].

It helps a lot and feels great having him as the coach. If he sees an error in your swing, he can fix it right away. That's really the good part about it. He's been in these situations before as a coach at Austin Peay. He knows what to do and that's part of the reason we're having so much success. He's a great teacher.

Those are the kind of opportunities you practice. It's not fun if you're coming up the 18th knowing your team is up by 40 rather than knowing your birdie could make or break the team. It was great to roll one in like that because I hadn't made anything all two days.

I was surprised at just how candid people were.

We would invariably ask people, and they would say, 'Has Lorne talked to you?' We'd say yes.

We arrived in rescue mode, not recovery mode.

We wanted the biggest challenge to prove to ourselves that we were the best team in the state.

He is unlike anyone, even in the entertainment business.

We knew with New Trier and those types of teams we would have to beat them to do it. Sure enough, we got it done by one.
