We can shut them down. If it's not that serious and they want to continue to operate, they have to apply for a permit.
If they place their child in unregulated care, they're not inspected, not regulated, they don't follow minimum standards, and they don't know if they meet the minimum standards.
I would go unannounced and observe. I would look to see if the children have activities. If the operation is clean. If everything looks safe. I would also check on our Web site.
