We don't make a big deal about it. We don't want to create test anxiety.

It's a large chunk of time out of the instructional day and it's large chunk of time out of the instructional year. The Connecticut test is a good test. It has open ended (questions) and is a good assessment. That makes it more palatable.

If we can start to say that's not acceptable in town, we can change that culture.

I plan to share my knowledge in reporting to help people cope with the storm. I will show them how to record their thoughts and talk about the importance of memoirs, journals and diaries.
