We got so focused on rust that some growers forgot to use fungicides for other yield-enhancing factors, such as the control of other diseases. Rust was the primary disease on people's minds in 2005.

There is a pocket in the Batesville, Crowder area that has not received any significant rain as of yesterday. Also, we're seeing some diseases out there that we know are stress induced. Some of the plants had reached a point of no return. The time they were fixing to die coincided with the rain. We were in such bad a shape.
