The little flippy skirt is something again that was used in the '50s and it looks very new again. It looks flirtatious. It's charming in all the pique prints. It feels very right.

There is a consistency of femininity and glamour which sort of pulls the two together. I think both the '50s and '60s are wonderful because they are very pared-down. It's minimal and very chiseled. All the little details play an important role, like scalloped edges, belts, the little hip-hugger pants and the little sweater, combined together with swim wear.
