"Adam Nelson" is an United States/American shot putter and Summer Olympic Games/Olympic gold Olympic medal/medalist. In 2013, almost a decade after the 2004 Summer Olympics concluded, Nelson was awarded the shot put gold medal after the original winner, Yuriy Bilonog, tested positive for Use of performance-enhancing drugs in sport/doping after further testing.

Nelson competed in three consecutive Olympic Games in 2000, 2004 and 2008. In addition to his gold medal at the 2004 Olympics, Nelson also won a silver medal at the 2000 Olympics.
